Guilty Witness story
Stanley and Dorothy Crane live in the apartment below volatile couple Amelia and Ben Verber, and often hear them fighting. After a particularly loud fight, Ben mysteriously vanishes, and Dorothy pushes Stanley to find out more. Despite his skepticism, Stanley helps Sgt. Halloran's investigation. They eventually discover that Amelia killed and hid Ben's body in the basement, and the reason the fight got so out of hand was because Ben was about to leave Amelia — for Dorothy.
