The Hidden Thing story
Dana Edwards's fiancée is killed in a hit-and-run, and he is unable to remember any details of the car involved. Dana is approached by John Hurley, who claims to know how to encourage memory recall. After many sessions, Dana is successfully able to remember the license plate of the car and tells the police. He is then surprised to learn that John Hurley is crazy and not a memory expert at all.
