Ambition story
District attorney Rudy Cox has been hiding his relationship with racketeer Marc Davis, who saved his life in the war years ago. Davis secretly meets Cox to tell him that he is going straight and will leave the business. However, the next day a crucial witness is killed and Davis' only alibi is that he was with Cox at the time of the murder, but Cox refuses to acknowledge Davis. Directed by: Paul Henreid.
