Episode 8 story
Stewart recites W. B. Yeats's "The Second Coming" at the entrance to Devs. Forest shows Lily the machine's projection of what is about to happen: she forces him into the lab's capsule at gunpoint and shoots him, and the capsule falls, killing them both. Lily instead throws the gun away, breaking the projection. Stewart crashes the capsule regardless, and Forest and Lily die. Lily wakes inside a simulation in which Devs was never built, and Forest is with his wife and daughter, alive. Katie shows Devs to Senator Laine and asks her to keep it running.
