A family whose spaceship en route to a distant habitable planet goes off course and crash-lands on another planet inhabited by spider-like creatures. The plot is adapted from the 1965–1968 CBS television series of the same name (itself inspired by the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson by Johann David Wyss).
