family vs. conscience theme
A character must choose between being loyal to their family on one hand, and following their conscience on the other.

In ahp2x17 "My Brother, Richard", District Attorney Martin Ross was confronted with the stark choice of whether to turn his own brother, Richard, in for murder after the latter kills a politician who was competing with Martin for the post of governor. Martin is torn between his own law abiding nature, and loyalty to his brother.
